Abstract:
Phytochemicals can be defined, in the strictest sense, as chemicals produced by plants. This work investigated the anticancer, antioxidant and Cytotoxicity activities of three Sudanese Medicinal Plants commonly used as antiulcer, malaria and similar tropical diseases. S. persica leaves, G. villosa leaves, T. terrestris L.flowers. All the plant parts were extracted using 80% methanol, the anticancer activity was examined by using MTT assay against PC3 (prostate cancer) cell lines and determine their antioxidant by testing Chemiluminescence activities, cytotoxicity using - (4, 5-Dimethyl thiazole-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT), filter and kept in dark, prepared freshly. The extract G. villosa L. leaves has shown very high activity against PC3, the extract S. persica leaves and T. terrestris L.flowers has shown none active anti- PC3 with IC50 values 39,9, >100 and >100 μg/ml respectively. All the extracts revealed cytotoxicity activity against Vero cell line not toxic in G. villosa leaves, S. persica leaves, T. terrestris L.flowers and the inhibition percentage with (84.86499 , 82.39188 , 79.91876 ) (90.81295 , 89.33074 , 86.47866 ) (57.71148 , 46.27801 , 32.32492 ) respectively. Effect of Plant Methanolic Extracts on supressing whole blood Phagocytes and ROS Production in S. persica leaves low active in with IC50 values 153.4, the extract of G.villosa leaves and T. terrestris L.flowers are revealed none Effect of Plant Methanolic Extracts on supressing whole blood Phagocytes and ROS Production with IC50 values >200 in tow extracts.
