Research Interests: A) The Physiology of Reproduction in Amphibians: 1) The role of body fat in the reproduction of Rana esculenta. 2) Endocrine control of spermatogenesis in Rana esculenta. B) Profile of sex hormones and their regulation. C) Cycle of endocrine gonadal in sheep. D) Hormonal control of certain activities in the enzymatic system and the hypothalamic-pituitary control of male fertility. E) Hormonal regulation of gene expression in target tissues such as the gland of Harder, the oviduct and the gonads. F) Analysis and characterization of microsatellites in various animal species including man. G) Linkage studies in human diseases such as idiopathic scoliosis, neurofibromatosis and trymethylaminuria. H) Effects on nutraceutic molecules onto normal and cancer cell activity.
Biography: He graduated with honors in Biological Sciences on 31.05.1979. He graduated with honors in Chemistry from the 06/29/1982. Since 4.2.84 served at the School of Medicine of the University of Naples "Federico II" as Researcher . In 1985 he won the Prize of the Foundation "Battista Grassi" of the National Academy of Lincei. Since 2.4.87 has been placed in the role of researcher at the School of Medicine, University of Naples "Federico II". In 1987 he won a scholarship based on agreements between the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and the Royal Society. From 02/29/88 to 02/28/92 attended, as a "visiting worker", the Laboratory of Developmental Biochemistry, National Institute for Medical Research in London, the laboratory directed by Dr. Jamshed R. Tata. In March 1993, is the winner of a scholarship based on agreements between the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and the Royal Society. From 20/10/93 to 20/12/93 attended , in quality of "visiting workers " , the Laboratory of Developmental Biochemistry , National Institute for Medical Research in London , the laboratory directed by Dr. Jamshed R. Tata . In December 1999, he was found fit for competition for comparative Professor of the second band banned by the Second University of Naples. In January 2000, he was named in the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery , Second University of Naples and in the same month he joined as an associate professor at the pool for competition BIO13 (Applied Biology. Currently in service at the Department of Experimental Medicine, Second University of Naples. Since the academic year 1992/93 is lecturer in Genetics at the Degree in Medicine and Surgery , Second University of Naples. Member dell'AIBG (Italian Association of General and Molecular Biology and Genetics), the European Society for Comparative Endocrinology, the British Society for Endocrinology . Head of the Progect entitled ""LICOPENE QUANTIFICATION CONTAINED IN" GRAZIELLA "TOMATOES: RECOVERY AND IMPROVEMENT OF ITS BIOAVAILABILITY THROUGH NUTRACEUTIC ADDITION" funded by Ministry of Economic Development in the European Project Horizon 2020. Author of 57 articles in international journals in full editorial control and 70 reports in national and international conferences
