Abstract:

Anaphylaxis is an urgent and life threatening situation. Symptoms from Central Nervous system (CNS) is a rare complication of it. There is presented the case of a 2.5 years old infant with fever and convulsions after the consumption of walnut. The differential diagnosis was complex and sensitization to multiple foods including tree nuts and legumes made the diagnosis of LTP syndrome a possible alternative. However, food challenge proved an allergy not to walnut but to the cashew tree nut.
