Abstract:
Cancer is a class of diseases characterized by out-of-control cell growth and behavior. There are over 100 different types of cancer, and each one classified by the type of cell that is initially affected. Cancer is a generic term for a large group of diseases that can affect any part of the body. This work investigated the anti prostate cancer, phytochimical and antioxidant activities (Metal chelating and Chemiluminescence) of C. glutinosum roots, leaves, and stems commonly used as anti inflammatory and anti tumor. Plant parts were extracted using 80% methanol. The anticancer activity was examined by using MTT assay. And determine their antioxidant activities, screened for their cytotoxicity using - (4, 5-Dimethyl thiazole-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT), filter and kept in dark, prepared freshly. The extract of plant parts roots and leaves are very high activity against prostate cancer which are C. glutinosum roots, glutinosum leaves theire IC50 are 48.8, 70.2, µg/ml respectively. And not activity in C. glutinosum stem >100 μg/ml. The Effect of all Plant parts Methanolic Extracts on supressing whole blood Phagocytes and ROS Production >200, The Phytochemically, C. glutinosum roots extract indicated the presence of cumarin and moderate in saponins, sterols and high in, tannins flavonoids, while alkaloids, triterpenes and anthraquenones were not detected. All the examined plant methanol extrats showed different levels of inhibition percentage in metal chelating C. glutinosum roots 48.18 µg/m, C. glutinosum stem 44.7 µg/m, C. glutinosum leaves 30.57 µg/m.
