Chronic Kidney Disease in Context to India
Abstract:
Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a condition that leads to damage kidney and decreases the functions of the kidney, which leads to build the toxic concentration in the body and develop a complication like high blood pressure anemia, weak bones. The most triggering agent of CKD is hypertension and diabetes. As per the statistics, 20 lakh people in India require dialysis while only one lakh people are able to receive the treatment. In India, there is 0.4 dialysis center of per million populations, while when there is a comparison with other countries like Japan there are 20 million dialysis centers per million populations. In India, it mainly affects the younger and the working population. Generally government organization is not able to manage completely CKD patients as only 15% of the government hospital has the facility to the CKD patients. Eating right foods permits or delays the disease condition.
