Abstract:
Women flock is an important segment of any society. Its role varies from state to state and society to society. In the developing countries like Pakistan it has to struggle hard to get its recognition whereas in the developed world they performed different tasks. Entrepreneurship is their liking profession. They are significantly contributing to the development of their respective states. It has been observed that in Pakistan there is a wide cultural gap between the rural and urban localities and their characteristics. Urban societies are more outward and progressive whereas the rulers are inward and conservative. In this context the present study become significant because it analyze the problems confronted by rural women entrepreneurs in district Nankana Sahib (Pakistan). The present study focuses only women living in rural areas. The study identifies several problems like accessing funding for new ventures and innovative activities, lack of skills-based training and other social issues. Sample size of 100 women entrepreneurs was selected through semi structured questionnaire for this study. Binary logistic regression is used for data analysis. Findings of this study show that Age as a variable is impacting insignificant to the business of boutiques and beauty salons. In case of Shortage of finance and Unfavorable place of business, there are mixed results. Some are in the favor that it affects the work efficiency while others are against it. This study is fixed only to rural areas of Nankana Sahib.
