The Importance of Matrix Support in Primary Care: A Suicide Prevention View
Abstract:
Suicide grows in Brazil with important regional variations related to the profile of each location around the country. It affects different age people groups, with a predominance of people with 60 years old. Primary care matrix support has been widely used and has shown efficiency and resolution of health problems, especially in the area of mental health. The study aims to discuss with the scientific community through a literature review relevant aspects about suicide risks, ways of prevention and medical conduct. However, the health process, disease and intervention must be considered in a more complex and dynamic way, in order to obtain treatment adherence of the patients. For this reason, primary care support is extremely important, identifying and treating patients who present suicide risk in a personal and different way and view.
