Biography: Dr. Wellington Marcos da Silva is currently a researcher DTI-A (Technological and Industrial Development) in the laboratory of nanostructured materials for bioapplications at Nuclear Technology Development Center. He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais-UFMG, Master in Materials Science from Nuclear Technology Development Center-CDTN and Bachelor in Chemistry from university of Itaúna. He has experience in various material characterization techniques, such as thermal analysis (TGA, DSC), Raman and infrared (FTIR) spectroscopies, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and scanning probe (AFM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, energy dispersive X-ray microanalysis (EDS), electrical resistivity measurement by four-point probe method, and mechanical tests (tensile, compression and impact). In his scientific career, he got experience in various research topics which reflected in more than 10 publications, International conferences and one patent.
