The role of spirituality in patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: A Systematic Mixed Studies Review
Abstract:
Problem Identification Long trajectory of rehabilitation and uncertain risk of death made Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) patients feel fear and intense. However, there are some limitations in single qualitative research to guide clinical practice.
Literature Search Publications in the PubMed, web of science, Embase, CINAHL, Cochrane Library was searched before April 13, 2019.
Data Evaluation A systematic mixed studies review (SMSR) was based on the Pluye and Hong’s framework to understand the role of spirituality in patients’ experiences undergoing HSCT.
Conclusions These evidences resulted in three themes: spiritual experience with HSCT parents; spiritual coping style with HSCT patients; spiritual need changes brought about by HSCT.
