Telomere Functioning and Aging: A Review
Abstract:
Aging is an irreversible phenomenon. It is controlled by telomere. Telomere region contain genes which controlled someone’s physical appearance as well as mitotic cycle of the cell. Within aging telomere disruption takes place as a result many diseases induced as symptoms of senesces. But if healthy life style and proper diet taken then it may be delayed not be totally reverse. Telomere region disrupts with the passage of time and induces signs of aging. It acts as a biological marker in cellular aging. Telomere study delivers an outstanding way to find out the relationship between telomere and senescence indications. The major aim of this paper is to describe diseases related to telomere damage and the secondary purpose is to determine the role of telomerase in aging.
