Biography: Dr. Harald Claus is a researcher and lecturer at the Institute of Molecular Physiology in the Department of Microbiology and Wine Research, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany. He studied biology and completed his Ph.D. at the Institute of Microbiology, Technical University Darmstadt. Afterwards he was engaged for 12 years at the Institute for Water, Soil and Air Hygiene of the Federal Health Office. In his scientific career, he worked on various research topics which is documented in more than 60 publications in journals, books and one patent. Microbial enzymes for biotechnological applications and bio control of phytopathogenic fungi are in focus of his recent studies.
