Biography: Dr. Melpomeni M Peppa is working as Associate Professor of Endocrinology in Research Institute and Diabetes Center at Athens University Medical School. She has completed her education and most of her postdoctoral training in Greece. In 1998, she supported her thesis on the relationship of endothelium dysfunction with diabetic angioppathy in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus. During 1999-2003, she has completed her postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Division of Experimental Diabetes and Aging, Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY. Since 2003, she is working in the Second Dept of Internal Medicine-Propaedeutic, Research Institute and Diabetes Center, Athens University Medical School, Attikon University Hospital, Athens, Greece, as Senior Lecturer in the beginning and now as Assist. Professor in Endocrinology. She has been author in 48 publications, with a mean impact factor: 3.5, H-Index: 18, citations (ISI/Scopus): 998/1298. She has attended many National and International Conferences and Scientific meetings. She has received awards and grants. Reviewer in over 36 articles in peer-review journals and International grants.
