Biography: Dr. Badran is a chief resident in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA. His interests include energy based device development, facial plastic surgery, and microvascular reconstruction. Dr. Badran supervises numerous residents, medical students, and undergraduates through clinical and basic science-based research. He received his degrees from UC San Diego (Biochemistry) and UC Irvine (MD) as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed publications, is on the editorial board and reviews for ten other journals. Dr. Badran will be completing a fellowship at UC San Francisco in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgery where he intends to remain in academics. His hobbies include sweep rowing, surfboard fishing, and open water swimming.
