Biography: Serena Pellegatta is currently working Head of Laboratory of “Immunotherapy of Brain Tumors” at Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Neurologico Carlo Besta in Milan, Italy. She obtained her Ph.D. in Translational and Molecular Medicine, University of Milan Bicocca. She has experience in Dendritic Cell Immunotherapy and CAR-T cell therapy for the treatment of brain tumors, with particular attention to glioblastoma. At the preclinical levels, her major interests are the mechanisms of immunotherapy resistance and the interaction between glioblastoma and immune system. At the clinical levels, she is responsible for the immune monitoring of patients involved in clinical studies based on dendritic cell immunotherapy.
